Ken Mandel.
Beginning his career in consumer market research in Toronto Canada where winters were long and summers short, Ken packed his bags for Asia and joined the Bangkok office of Shandwick Public Relations in 1994. Since then he has held C-level management positions across the Asia Pacific region with Bates, 141 Worldwide, XM Asia, Ogilvy & Mather, Yahoo!, Salesforce.com & and most recently established Hootsuite in Asia Pacific.

Ken is a digital industry veteran in Asia Pacific. In 1999 Ken was appointed CEO & Regional Director of XM Asia Pacific (WPP Group). Over a 6 year period he built XM Asia Pacific into one of the regions leading digital consultancies. In January of 2006, Ken joined Ogilvy Asia Pacific as the founding CEO of Neo@Ogilvy and Vice President of OgilvyOne covering 11 markets. While at Ogilvy, Ken built Neo@Ogivly into a regional force by growing the digital media network from 0 to over 200 staff in just 16 months. He also helped lead OgilvyOne to two consecutive Regional Agency of the Year titles.

Ken joined Yahoo! in January 2008 as Vice-President & Managing Director of SE Asia. He was tasked with establishing Yahoo! in SE Asia and opened four new markets in less than two years for the internet giant. In April 2010, Ken was appointed Regional Vice President of Sales for APAC responsible for monetization across Yahoo!s entire product line Display, Search, Ad Network, Mobile and the RightMedia Exchange. Ken left Yahoo! to create Jam Ventures a boutique accelerator that mentors & invests in Asian digital start-ups. In 2011 Ken was employee #1 when he launched Buddy Media in Asia Pacific which was acquired by Salesforce.com for about $800M. Hootsuite enticed Ken to join them in 2013 to rapidly accelerate the social relationship platform's growth in the region.

Ken is keen supporter of the Asian digital industry and has held numerous industry association Chairmanships including IAB, MMA, DAA and more.
